Many
companies are now offering search engine submission services,
but very few really care about your site. Their services
are entirely automated and directed mainly at Free For All
(FFA) links sites. As we have yet to receive a referral
to our website from a FFA links site, we think that these
services are a scam. Many of the major search engines now
disregard automated site submissions or change their submission
process so regularly that the auto-submitting programs cannot
release new versions of software fast enough to keep up.
That
is why we decided to provide a more considered search engine
submission service, involving manual submission to major
search engines and directories and automatic submission
to approximately 200 'second tier' search engines and directories
that we know have some value. The price for this service
is £25/URL, each URL must be entered seperately and
no more than 5 URLs may be submitted in one day to avoid
any accussations of spamming by search engines.
